Hyundai's Warranty: America's Best

Next to buying a home, purchasing a new vehicle is likely to be the biggest expense a family will make. Entering into the process with some kind of assurance that you’ll get your money’s worth can relieve a lot of stress. Hyundai provides a warranty package on its entire lineup that remains unmatched by any other automaker.

On vehicles beginning with the 1999 model year, Hyundai offers a 10-Year/100,000-Mile (whichever comes first) Powertrain Warranty that covers repair or replacement of powertrain components (i.e., selected engine and transmission/transaxle components) originally manufactured or installed by Hyundai that are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

Added to that is the 5-Year/60,000-Mile (whichever comes first) New Vehicle Limited Warranty that covers repair or replacement of components manufactured or originally installed by Hyundai that are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

Beginning with the 2005 model year, the 7-Year/Unlimited Miles Anti-Perforation Warranty covers perforation (rust hole through the body panel from inside to outside) due to defects in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. It excludes surface corrosion.

The last piece of the package includes a 5-Year/Unlimited Miles 24-Hour Roadside Assistance program. Services include towing, tire changes and gasoline, among others.

“Our warranty continues to be an important purchase reason for our vehicles, but it’s significant to note it’s also a commitment from Hyundai to maintain a high degree of quality with every vehicle we make,” says Brandon Ramirez, Hyundai Senior Product Planning Manager.
