I created HispanicKitchen.com to provide an online venue for those who love Hispanic food to talk about it, share recipes and tips, interact, find fellow Hispanic foodies, and celebrate the variety of Hispanic cuisine found right here in the U.S. and Latin America. Before I started this project, I worked as an editor for newspapers and magazines in Miami, Florida, my hometown. Like the child of many Cuban immigrants, I grew up in a hard-working, extended family and eating food from my grandma's kitchen -- though it wasn't till adulthood that I began to appreciate more fully the dishes I grew up with.
